Pedilay® hand: the most important advantages at a glance
Quick and ready-to-use
Pedilay® hand is immediately ready for use and allows fast treatment of the hand, wrist, and the adjoining forearm. Due to the ready-to-use 2-phase system, this dispenses with the time-consuming application of conventional bandages.
In a usability study, the time required to put on and take off the bandage was reduced by more than 50% compared to conventional hand bandages. This makes treatment processes more efficient and noticeably reduces the workload on healthcare professionals.
Easy wound control and adjustment
The intelligent hook and loop fastener system makes it easy to open and reclose the bandage. Wound inspections can be carried out without having to reapply the entire bandage.
Compression can be adjusted individually and readjusted at any time. This allows treatment to be tailored effectively to the respective stage of recovery and the needs of individual patients.
More independence for patients
Pedilay® hand already promotes patient autonomy shortly after the intervention. The bandage can be applied, removed, and closed again independently.
The fingers remain free to move whilst keeping wound dressings securely fixated. This facilitates many everyday activities and at the same time also increases wearing comfort during post-operative care.

Ready-to-use hand bandage
The elastic hand bandage forms the basis of Pedilay® hand. It was developed specifically for treating the hand, wrist, and adjacent forearm, and can be used both on the right or left hand.
